AKRA Gran Fondo Antalya is an amateur cycling race consisting of two separate routes.
The race will be organized according to the regulations of the UCI and the Turkish Cycling Federation.
The 98 km AKRA route starts on April 19, 2025, at 8:00 AM in Kemer Olbia Park and ends at the same place after an ascent of 2000 m+.

The last refund request for registration fees is April 1, 2025. No refunds will be made after this date.
Payment must be made during online registration.
The last date for changes to registration and route is April 15, 2025. Payment must be made by this date to complete registration.
Each registration is personal. Transfer of registration or riding by another person instead of a participant is not allowed.
Rules
1.1. The rules apply during the AKRA Gran Fondo Antalya 2025 race.
1.2. All athletes registered for the AKRA Gran Fondo Antalya race are considered accepted.
1.3. Each participant should check the contents of the race bag handed to them in the registration area and report any errors in their personal data to the race management.
According to the regulations of the Turkish Cycling Federation, published on March 24, 2022, the following conditions must be met to start in the PRO Category.
- Athletes who have collected UCI points in the last 2 years (regardless of cycling discipline).
- Athletes who are in the national team of the cycling or triathlon federation or in a UCI-registered cycling team in the year of the event (regardless of cycling discipline).
*** Participants who meet the above conditions must report this by email to info@akragranfondoantalya.org before the race. Participants who do not do this will be disqualified if identified by the organization during the race.

Paralympic B - Overall (Only on the AG TOHUM route)
In this category, visually impaired athletes compete on a tandem bike with two people. The sighted person sits in front, and the visually impaired athlete sits behind.
Paralympic C - Overall (Only on the AG TOHUM route)
Athletes with amputations, limb reductions, or functional limitations who can ride a bike normally compete in this category.
To register in the paralympic category, the normal registration procedure must be followed. The payment must be skipped on the payment page, and an email must be sent to info@akragranfondoantalya.org with name and surname, along with a report on the disability status. The document will be reviewed by the organization's doctor, and registration in the appropriate category will occur without payment.
*Participants with disabilities who do not meet the conditions of the paralympic C category must also follow the same registration procedure; their participation will be allowed after a medical examination without a registration fee, but they will be included in the overall ranking.
There is no team ranking.
4.1. General
4.1.1. The use of electric bicycles is prohibited.
4.1.2. Each participant is responsible for the safety of their bicycle. Ensure that brakes and other components are functioning properly.
4.1.3. Athletes participating in the race with a non-compliant bicycle will be disqualified.
4.1.4. Water bottle holders may only be used within the frame geometry.
4.2. Racing/Road Bikes
The use of racing/road bikes is not mandatory in the race. However, due to the speed and nature of the race, it is recommended that participants prefer racing/road bikes.
4.3. Mountain Bikes and City Bikes
These bikes can be used in the race. If you choose to participate in the race with a mountain bike or city bike, please consider factors such as average speed, time limits, and safety.
4.4. Special Rules
The use of the components and parts listed below in the race is prohibited.
- Triathlon handlebars and aerobars
- Single-speed, fixie bikes
- Handbikes
- Bikes with carrier systems
- The use of headphones is prohibited. The use of MP3 players and similar devices is prohibited.
5.1. Helmet
Wearing a helmet during the race is mandatory. All helmets must meet the safety standards DIN 33954, SNEL, and/or ANSI.
5.2. Race Number
The race number must be visible on the back of the athlete's jersey, both on both sides and under the saddle of the bicycle.
6.1. The short route of the AKRA Gran Fondo Antalya is open to all cyclists aged 16 years (born on or before April 28, 2008); the long route is accessible to all cyclists aged 18 years (born on or before April 28, 2006).
6.2. Each participant must have a current health report or a current license for cycling or triathlon.
6.3. Athletes who have received a doping penalty in the last 5 years are excluded from participation.
7.1. Motorcycle Escort
7.1.1. To ensure safety in traffic, on the road, and for the athletes, there will be a motorcycle escort.
7.1.2. The motorcycle team ensures that the race is conducted according to the rules and performs the following tasks:
Removing participants who violate the rules from the race, providing first aid, and clearing the path for the leading group.
8.1. General Individual Rankings
The general individual rankings are divided into "Women" and "Men". Two separate results will be published: "Overall Women's Ranking" and "Overall Men's Ranking".
8.2. Results by Race Categories
Athletes who place in the overall rankings can also podium in their age group.
9.1. The time taken by each individual participant to finish the race is measured electronically with a chip.
9.2. The electronic chip handed to you at registration must be attached to your bicycle according to the instructions.
9.3. The start time for each athlete is the time the starting signal is given.
10.1. During the AKRA Gran Fondo Antalya, at least one refreshment station will be set up. This station will always be on the right side of the course. Athletes can stop at the refreshment station and use the services offered.
10.2. Warning signs will be placed 1 km before the refreshment points on the right side of the road.
10.3. The racer switches to the right side of the road by signaling with a hand gesture that they wish to stop at the refreshment station. When changing direction, they act carefully and stop in a way that does not pose a danger to other racers.
10.4. It is prohibited to receive food and drinks from support vehicles. This rule can only be changed by the race committee due to weather conditions and will be announced one day before the race in the technical meeting.
10.5. Racers are not allowed to accept food and drinks from spectators at the roadside or from their own support teams.
11.1. If a racer has to abandon the race due to mechanical problems, health reasons, etc., they immediately raise their right arm to inform other racers and stop at the nearest roadside. They then wait for a suitable and safe moment to switch to the right side of the road. There, they must wait for the escort vehicle and signal with their right arm that they need help.
11.2. Leaving the course will lead to disqualification, even if the racer later returns to the course. Official refreshment points are considered part of the race course.
12.1. It is strictly prohibited to move personal or team support vehicles on the race course.
12.2. It is also prohibited to receive technical assistance or refreshments from press vehicles or other official vehicles not belonging to the race organization.
12.3. In case of health problems or accidents, it is permitted to seek external help.
13.1. The transition times at the stations will be monitored by the race committee. Depending on traffic conditions, the race committee has the right to exclude participants who have significantly fallen behind, including those who are riding at a speed below the required minimum to the next point.
13.2. Any racer who cannot meet the transition time at the station due to mechanical, health, or other reasons will be required to abandon the race at the request of the race organization and switch to the "Athlete Collection Vehicle".
13.3. It is mandatory to follow the instructions of the referees and officials of the athlete collection vehicle.
13.4. Racers who finish the race behind the set target time will be disqualified. The times of these racers will be displayed in the race results but will not be considered in the ranking.
14.1. Participants must not obstruct other racers from overtaking, cross their path, or force them off the course. They should avoid contact with other participants as much as possible. Pulling or pushing another athlete physically will be penalized unless absolutely necessary. Sudden stops, abrupt lane changes, or unnecessary halts at the start of the race will also be penalized according to the relevant provisions (Chapter 16).
14.2. It is prohibited to hold onto or hide behind motorized vehicles. This prohibition also applies to returning to the race after accidents and/or mechanical failures.
14.3. It is allowed to exchange food and drinks among racers.
14.4. It is prohibited to leave trash or any waste, including used bottles and water containers, in nature. Individuals who violate this rule will be penalized according to the relevant provisions (Chapter 16). Each racer is responsible for disposing of their trash, empty bottles, and water containers in the bins at the refreshment stations, roadside, or at the finish line.
15.1. It is allowed to exchange tools, equipment, and spare parts among racers. However, the exchange of rims and bicycles is strictly prohibited.
15.2. All repairs on the bicycle must be carried out behind the groups, on the right side of the road, and, if available, in front of the service vehicle. If there is a sidewalk on the right side of the road, this area can also be utilized.
16.1. General
16.1.1. Penalties related to violations will be imposed solely by the race committee.
16.1.2. The penalties are listed in Section 16.2 and will be applied without exception.
16.1.3. The race committee is authorized to impose penalties for violations not listed in the following list. The appropriate penalty will be determined by the committee.
16.2. Penalty Catalog
In the interest of organizational health and participant safety, the following penalties will be applied:
1- Participation under a false name to deceive the organizer: 5 years or lifetime ban.
2- Transfer of race documents to third parties without the required transfer of registration: 3 years ban; in case of intentional action, lifetime ban.
3- Use of another's race chip to deceive the organizer: 3 years ban.
4- Use of an old or false race number: 3 years ban.
5- Fighting with other racers or individuals: Disqualification and 3 years ban.
6- Deliberately dangerous driving: Disqualification and 1 year ban.
7- Shortening and deviating from the race course: Disqualification and 1 year ban.
8- Violating closed barricades or ground crossings: Disqualification and 1 year ban.
9- Racing with a bicycle that violates race rules: Disqualification and 1 year ban.
10- Racing without a helmet or removing the helmet during the race: Disqualification and 1 year ban.
11- Missing race number and timing chip: Disqualification and 1 year ban.
12- Deliberately providing false age information: 1 to 3 years ban. (If the registration was paid with false information, no refund of fees will be made)
1- The organization and the race committee will document rule violations at the start, during the race duration, and in the finish area.
2- Violations will be recorded and kept with the "Violation Protocol".
3- Participants can submit rule violations they have observed or appeals regarding their own race times to the organization office with the "Appeal Form" and possible evidence. At the end of the race, the race committee will review the appeals and communicate the decision to the involved parties.
Registered participants are considered to agree that photos and videos taken during the event may be used by the organization for promotional purposes and shared with sponsors and the press.
Participants who voluntarily register for the AKRA Gran Fondo Antalya agree to the competition rules and any potential changes to these rules. The organization cannot be held responsible for material and immaterial damages and accidents caused or suffered by participants.
