Turns out, the person who greeted us was also our driver! ? We got in the car and headed off. He dropped us right in front of our hotel in Evrenseki. It was a smooth and peaceful ride. We thanked him, and just before saying goodbye, I asked when he would collect the payment for the transfer. He said, “Oh right! I totally forgot.” Apparently, he was new to the team and not quite used to this procedure yet. We came from Manchester with two kids – one is 2, the other is 4. Anyone with small children knows the stress. The terminal exit was packed and it took us a while to spot the name sign. Honestly, they should find a better way to display names – finding ours among hundreds was tough. Anyway, the guy who picked us up helped us with the luggage and even offered to carry one of the kids, but Sebastian wasn’t having it :) As we were loading the bags into the car, we noticed there were no child seats. Not the end of the world, but holding kids in our laps all the way to Side isn’t safe or comfortable. Our driver looked at us and instantly understood our concern. His English wasn’t perfect, but he got it. He said “One minute” and headed to the back of the car — and guess what, he pulled out TWO child seats ? We were so relieved! Turns out he’s always prepared because many people forget to request seats like we did.
